He was predeceased by: his father Bob Benefield, Sr.; and his grandparents, Waldo, Bonnie Bolin, Wonnie and Marie Benefield.
He is survived by: his sons, Micah and Levi Benefield; the mother of his children Susan Benefield of LaFayette, GA; his mother Millie Bolin Benefield; his sister Christine Morkert (Andrew); his nieces, Natalie and Callie Morkert; and his nephew Jacob Morkert. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
