He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Sr and Mattie Hampton, Sr.; and his brother Bryan Hampton. He is survived by: his child Brenda "Tuff" Hampton Johnson; his grandchildren, LaDaisha and Lamuel Johnson, Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Talia Payne and Terrence Payne, Jr.; his siblings, Sylvester Hampton and Thearest Alexander; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Hampton. He is also survived by four nieces, seven nephews, six great nieces; seven great nephews; two great-great nephews; a host of cousins, family, and friends.
