He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Walker Burson and Henry "Bud" Burson; his wife Paulette Burson; his brother Rodney Burson; and his pet Buddy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lora Burson Miller (Steve) and Rachel Burson; his grandsons, Courtland and Daniel Miller; and his close friend Pat Jennings. He is also survived by several nephews and other extended family.
