She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Thurman Sr. and Lillie Thurman; her husband J. D. Hill; her sisters, Magnolia Nesbitt and Sarah Weaver; her son-in-law Lester Woods Jr.; her daughter Joyce Woods; her uncle Charlie Thurman; and her aunt Lady B. Holder.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ruby Smith and Richard Thurman (Wanda) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Deirdre Woods of Detroit and Lester Woods III of Arlington, Texas; and her niece Alicia Thurman Jackson of Dalton, Georgia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
