He was predeceased by: his mother Mallie Kitchens Duncan; and his brother Joseph Calvin Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Duncan; his children, Mark Duncan (Kelly Michelle Conner), Kelley Hartness (Dodd) and Kim Spruiell (John); his grandchildren, Anthony Duncan (Caitlin), Coty McDowell, Ralston Hartness (Elle), Graham Hartness, Peyton Duncan (Alicyn), Walker Spruiell and Jarred Duncan; and his great grandchildren, Mallie Hartness and Ronan Duncan.
