It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Mai Bell (Charlotte, Tennessee), born in Cross Plains, Tennessee, who passed away on February 21, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carney Bell, Sr.; her son Carney Bell, Jr.; and her siblings, George Thomas, Leroy Strain and Genell Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Dean, Wilson Bell, Carney Frances Christian (Terry) and L'Tanya Bell (Harold Jarboe); and her siblings, Robert Strain (Doris), William Strain (Rebecca), Mattie Jones, Annie J. McGill and Mildred Lewis (David). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
