He is survived by: his wife Linda Lawrence Rich of Charlotte; his children, Rondia Felts (Danny) of Charlotte, Jeffery Rich (Tina) of White Bluff, Gary "Wormy" Rich (Jeannie) of Cumberland Furnace and Charlie "Chuck" Rich (Cindy) of Charlotte; and his siblings, Ralph Edward "Doodle" Rich of Smithville, Tennessee and Clara Elizabeth "Libby" Rich Erickson (Ron) of Wayne, Michigan. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
