He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Miller Banta and Estel Banta; his grandson Jacob Banta; and his brother Gerald Banta. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Banta; his children, Jennifer Ramos (Ernest), Kaiserslautern, Germany, Janelle Hoskins (Dustin), Tracy Banta (Melissa), Adam Banta Charleston (Megan), Jason Banta (Nicole) and David Banta (Pasha); his grandchildren, Stephen Banta, Cody Banta, Austin Banta (Britni), Tanner Glassman, Ethan Glassman, Lana Ramos, Kylee Ramos and Katelyn Banta; his great grandchild Isabella Banta; and his brother Dr. Larry Banta (Evelyn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
