With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Chastain of Charleston, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, James T. McElrath and Grace McElrath; and her daughter Shannon Green. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Chastain; her daughter Michelle Green (Carolyn Eskew); her siblings, Wynell Marlow (Leslie) and Jamed D. McElrath (Gwen); her granddaughters, Bianca Westfield and Natasha Westfield; and her great grandchildren, Kaidence, Neriah and Hadley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Council Baptist Church (1415 Upper River Rd NE, Charleston, TN 37310). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Council Baptist Church (1415 Upper River Rd NE, Charleston, TN 37310).
