He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Balthrop and Martha Morris Balthrop; and his siblings, R. W. of Dorris, J. B., Ray, Howard, Clyde Balthrop, Dorothy Hudgens and Frances Head.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Jo Balthrop; his children, Ricky Balthrop (Helen), Randy Balthrop (Lori), Tammy Farmer (Chuck) and Linda Kay Clark (Taylor); his sisters, Dimple Gupton, Bonnie Moore and Faye Murphy; and his grandchildren, Bradley, Tom Balthrop Lee, Tyler, Erika Balthrop, Houston, Tasha Newman, Hayley, Dustin Frazier, Austin, Emily Clark, Trent, Lauren Balthrop and Lucas Clark. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
