He was predeceased by: his parent Onzie Reed; his wife Marlene Reed; his daughter Joyce Birdwell; and his siblings, Joyce Reynolds, Barbara Bailey, Virginia Ballew, Carolyn Whitaker of Ozell Reed, J. C and Hoover Reed.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Kimberly Birdwell; and his great grandchildren, Breanna, Ariel and Robert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
