He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wallace and Addie Flourine Cathey Purdom; his son James David "Jimmy" Purdom; and his siblings, Rebecca Hunter and Bobby Purdom.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Palmore Purdom; his daughter Cathy Lee Purdom of Brentwood, TN; his daughter-in-law Mary Sparkman Purdom of Rover Community; his siblings, Edith "PeeWee" Woosley of Nashville, TN and Kenny Ervin Purdom of Nolensville, TN; and his grandsons, Kendall Purdom and Alex Purdom.
