He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Myrtle Childress Blalock and William Robert Blalock, Sr.; his son Troy Blalock; his brother Travis Blalock (Sam); and his nephew Matthew Blalock.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Blalock; his children, Tim Blalock (Karen) of Hermitage, TN, Todd Blalock (Sherrie), Halls Mill Comm, Jill Parker (Alvin), Rover Comm, Joy Blalock, Gerry Glover (Tammy), Sherry (Charlie) and Penny Reed (Winky); and his siblings, Regina Gilliam of Pottsville, TN, Norma Brown, Barbara Haynes, Flat Creek Comm, Bill Blalock (Carol) of Gallatin, TN and Danny Blalock. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
