She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lanier and Bessie Dickens Callis; her husband Carlton E. Ellis; and her siblings, Nolan Callis, Dennis Callis, Verner Callis, Lorene Luster Adcock, Margaret Edging, Forde Callis, Frances Davis, Lillian Lambert, Billie Sue Adcock, Olie Callis, Bobby Callis, Glenn Callis and Peggy Swatman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Thornhill (Billy) and Stacy Pearson (Brian); her grandchildren, Betsy Gentry, Heath Thornhill (Brianna), Andrew Thornhill, Shelby Bramblett and Ethan Bramblett (Emily); her great grandchildren, Brayden Gentry, Gavin Thornhill and Kaiden Thornhill; and her great great grandchild Blayne Gentry.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (203 S Horton Pkwy, Chapel Hill, TN 37034). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
