He is survived by: his wife Carol Connelly Helton of Caney Spring, TN; his daughter Michele O'Neal (Danny) of Spring Hill, TN; his siblings, Janey Wells (Lonnie) of Louisville, KY and John Neal Helton (Judy); his grandchildren, Bethany Sims (Tyler Gibson), Adam Herman, Arri Anderson (Cristian James), Skyler O'Neal and Lily O'Neal; and his great grandchild Ezra Lyle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
