He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Patterson Poteete and Jessie Burke Poteete; and his brothers, Rufus Poteete and Herman Poteete. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Libby" Poteete of Chapel Hill, TN; his son Daniel Poteete (Michele) of Rockvale, TN; his granddaughter Lilly Poteete; and his brothers, Larry Poteete of Franklin, TN and Danny Lee Poteete (Pam) of Nolensville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
