He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Guy Batte and Lula Sheppard Woodard; and his brothers, Bobby Batte and Sammy Batte. He is survived by: his wife Joan Glenn Batte of Chapel Hill, TN; his children, Tracy Batte (Michelle), Mindy Boyce (Bobby) of College Grove, TN and David Batte (Julia) of Chapel Hill, TN; his grandchildren, Brandon Hargrove, Kayla Deckert, Cotey Batte, Corey Batte, Holly Batte and Nathan Batte; his great grandchildren, Gage Hargrove, Aubree Batte, Anderson Deckert, Lucille Batte, Everly Batte, Weston Hargrove and Maya Batte; and his sisters, Joan Robertson of Chapel Hill, TN and Judy Siniard of Alabama.
