She was predeceased by: her parent John William; her husband James Newton "Cracker" Dyer; her children, Martha Mae Peary and Phillip Eugene Dyer; and her brothers, Finis Walls, Ernest Walls, Herbert Walls, Johnny Walls and Will Walls.
She is survived by: her parent Bessie Mae Griggs Walls; and her children, James Avery Dyer of Chapel Hill, TN, Thelma Lorene Griggs (Lewis), William Carl Dyer (Debbie) and Michael Randolph Dyer (Carolyn). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
