He was predeceased by: his parents, George Morton and Bessie Litton McGahey; his wife Lou Kathryn McGahey; his son Wilburn David McGahey; and his siblings, George Vernon McGahey, James Garnet McGahey and Maggie Lou Winn.
He is survived by: his brother Hubert Ray McGahey; his sons, Phillip Gerald McGahey (Regina) and Paul Gary McGahey (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Tiffany, Michael, Bradley, Jonathan, Isaac, Corrie and Keegan. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Hickman County (102 West End Ave, Centerville, TN 37033). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
