He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gilbert and Mattie Mae Poore Gilbert; his wife Janie Marylin Hethcote Gilbert; and his brother Charles Gilbert. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Tibbs (Robert Deeleamon) of Pleasantville; his grandson Andrew Deeleamon Tibbs of Pleasantville; his sister Judy Matlock (Keith) of Centerville; his sister-in-law Kay Gilbert; his niece Jennifer Gilbert; and his nephew Brandon Matlock (Jill). He is also survived by his family and friends.
