He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Aydelott Gilmer; his parents, Charles Gilmer and Bessie Gilmer; and his siblings, Margaret Mayberry and Bill Gilmer of Centerville.
He is survived by: his children, Troy Gilmer (Susie) of Nunnelly, Tracy Binkley (Kevin) of Fairview and Trevor Gilmer (Melissa) of Culleoka; his grandson Austin Gilmer of Culleoka; and his brother Charles Gilmer (Carol) of Centerville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
