She was predeceased by: her parents, John Burgess Gaither and Mary Campbell Gaither; her former husband William Victor Sullivan; her sisters, Ruby Williams and Patricia Green; and her stepdaughter Barbara Jo Roever.

She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Thomas Jones of Ohio; her son William Randall Sullivan (Beth) of Mayfield, Kentucky.; and her brother John B. Gaither of Gallatin, Tennessee.. She is also survived by many other relatives, friends.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the J.B. and Mary Gaither Scholarship Fund at Freed Hardeman University.
