He was predeceased by: his parents, Dollie Horner and Hershel Tanner; and his son Timothy Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Tanner; his daughters, Felicia Yates (Greg), Kimberly Atkinson (James), Christie Emory (Johnnie) and Deborah Roberts (Danny); and his sisters, Carolyn Stoltz and Jeanette Kelley. He is also survived by his 10 Grandchildren, and his 6 with number 7 on the way Great-Grandchildren.
