He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel D. Horner and Irene Grace Whitwell Horner; his wife Nolene Horner; his siblings, Willie Pearl Warren and Guy Horner; and his son Daryl Garland Horner.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Carroll (Wayne) and Jonathan Horner (Katlyn); and his stepchildren, Charles Dewayne Collins (Melissa), Kathy Knorr (John), Charlotte Litton (Aaron) and Many. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
