She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Mamie Duren Porter Barnes; and her siblings, Richard Barnes, James William Barnes, Thomas Barnes, Ida Mae Acres, Lonnis Barnes, Neoma Whitehead, David Barnes and Carolyn Miller.

She is survived by: her sister Melva Anita Morris. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
