He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarise Hobert Gossett and Katie Virginia McFarlin Gossett; his wife Martha Jo Staggs Gossett; and his siblings, Paul Gossett and Sharon Dillingham.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Scott (John) and David Gossett (Amy); his grandchildren, Kyle (Lydia), Allie (Eric) and Gentry; and his great grandchildren, Lila Jo, Emmie Rae and Esther Naomi Scott.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Hickman County (102 West End Ave, Centerville, TN 37033). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hilltop Cemetery (3210 TN-100, Lyles, TN 37098).
