He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hays Anderson Mays and Helen Byrne Frost Mays; his sister Elizabeth Carol Mays Mayberry; his wife Marcia Mays; his children, Sean Mays (Ellen), Shelley Mays (Shannon) and Shannon Mays Beavers; and his grandchildren, Bella, Andy, Ryan, Kyle, Jeremy, Juliette, Coleigh and Parker.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside (104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
He was also a dedicated member of the GE Elfun Project C.U.R.E. Foundation and volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, reflecting his commitment to both his profession and his community.
