She was predeceased by: her father Carson Brown; her husband James "Jay" Staggs; her granddaughter Emily Armstrong; and her siblings, Ernest, Calvin, Lewis Brown, Maxine Caldwell, Ruth Brown, Leola Nix and Nell Olmsted.

She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Lawson (Bryan) and Renee Hill (James); her grandchildren, Hannah McClellan, Katie Graham (Blake), Faith Tanner (Hunter) and Logan Hill; her great grandchildren, Teague, Candace McClellan and Hadley Graham; and her brother James Brown.

Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Staggs may be made to the Alzheimers association.
