He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hassell Kelley and Ina Rhea Turnbow Kelley; his wife Janie Elizabeth McDonald Kelley (Mary Martha Sharp); his siblings, Tommy, Winston Kelley and Rita Brewer; and his grandson Austin Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Rachel Rheatta Petty (Denny) of Kingston Springs, TN, Wendell Kelley (Michaelena), Vickie Lynn Halfacre (Patrick) and Michael Alan Kelley (Amanda) of Hohenwald, TN; his sister Joyce Edwards; and his grandchildren, Evan Petty, Aaron Petty, Elizabeth Redmon (Brett), Hope Bass (Hayden), Grace Parker (Jalyn), Kalum Halfacre, Kason Halfacre, Whitney Smith (Doug), Faith James and Mary Halfacre. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Lewis County (20 W 2nd St, Hohenwald, TN 38462). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Swiss Cemetery (281 Summertown Hwy, Hohenwald, TN 38462).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund, donations can be made through the funeral home.
