He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Able and Anna Florence Faulkerson Melton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson Melton; his children, Robert Melton, Darrell Melton, Ronald Melton, Anna Bellamy, Brenda Dickens (Carroll), Joyce Hester (Anthony) and Becky Sligar (Dan); and his siblings, David Melton, Frank Melton and Mary Singer. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
