She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Knight and Lela Knight; her husband John Ezell Barnes; and her granddaughter Tania Pinson-Carter. She is survived by: her sister Verna Edward; her children, Roger Dale Barnes and Kathye Barnes Beech; her granddaughter Karen Sprouse (Ben); her great grandchildren, Trent Beech, Tanner Pinson and Treva Pinson; her great great grandchildren, Mya and Callie Beech; her nieces, Wanda Pentecost, Myra Felts and Peggy Knight; and her close friends, Peggy O'Neal Dunn, Betty, Wayne Spain and Bella Scruggs. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant View First Baptist Building Fund.
