He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl August Henry Lorenz and Mary Johanna Holtzmann Lorenz. He is survived by: his caregiver Mary Joyce Kenning Lorenz of Cedar Hill, Tennessee; his children, Erich William Lorenz II (Ursula) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Jennifer Leanne Lorenz Hasty (Ryan) of Auburn, Alabama; his grandchildren, Nathan Lorenz (Bianca) of Portland, Lexi Lorenz of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Emily Lorenz of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; his sister Patricia Ann Lorenz of Graham; and his rescue Siamese. He is also survived by cat, "Hershey" and many other extended family members and friends.
