With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Hunter Jr. of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, born in Springfield, Tennessee, who passed away on June 24, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carmack and Marie Traughber Hunter, Sr.; his wife JoAnn Oakes Hunter; his son-in-law Jerry McClain; and his sister Margie Chowning.
He is survived by: his friend Notre Dame; his children, Janet McClain of Springfield, Joy Ramsey (Fred) of Harriman, Mack Hunter (Sheila) of Clarksville, Mike Hunter (Tara) of Joelton and Beth Duncan of Ashland City; his sisters, Lynda Brown (Karl) of Springfield and Dianne Hunter of Nashville; his grandchildren, Kerry Deitch (Kenton), Haley Ball (David), Kevin Ramsey, Hunter Duncan, Shelby and Josh Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Kiersten, Kenley, Samuel Deitch and Benjamin Ball.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the JoAnn Hunter Memorial Scholarship for Nursing Students, the St. Michael's Cemetery Fund or the charity of your choice. Any donations may be sent in c/o Austin & Bell.
