It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Ann Smith of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, born in Jackson, Tennessee, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Johnson and Hazel Johnson; her husband Billy Joe Smith; her brother Gaylon Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, June Spain Johnson, Shirley Smith Vinson and Joann Carroll.
She is survived by: her brother Jerry Lee Johnson; her daughters, Cynthia Gail Smith (James) of Atlanta, GA and Suzanne Smith Hardin (Lee) of Greenville, SC; her nieces and nephews, Lori Silloway, Carmon Roach, Christi Ingram, Jeff Vinson and Lee Johnson; and her great-nieces, Ashley Johnson Thomas and Lacy Johnson Hehe.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in her honor be sent to Hickory Flat United Methodist Church, 130 Highway 220, Cedar Grove, TN 38321.
