He is survived by: his wife Lori Coates; his children, Erin Coates, Kassie Perritt, Edward Coates and Evan Coates (Skylar); his grandchildren, Autumn and Emmet Coates; his siblings-in-law, Cristina Duncan (Sean) of Lakeland, TN and Steve Macpherson (Kim) of Bartlett, TN; and his nephews, Austin Macpherson (Lindsay) and Will Macpherson (Whitney).
