He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Patrick and Rosalee Patrick; his son Gregory Allen Patrick; and his brother Carl Patrick. He is survived by: his children, Earl Monroe Patrick Jr. (Julie), Trisha Patrick-Hartsville and Sarah Patrick-Red; his siblings, Charlie Patrick-North (Carol), James Patrick (Carol) and Virginia Smith-Warsaw (Herb); and his half-sister Teresa Rhoades (Dusty).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
