He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Sampsell and Dicie Sampsell; his sister Charlotte Tackett; and his grandson Travis Ross. He is survived by: his wife Joann Sampsell; his daughters, Connie Miller (Don), Valerie Baird (Dewayne) and Patty Lowe (Michael); his siblings, Zola Ward (Cara) and Curtis Sampsell (Lynn); his grandchildren, Steven Taylor, Trey Ramsey, Nicholas Ross, Kayla Rumsey, Andrew Lowe, Benjamin Lowe and Morgan Lowe; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Kade and Presley.
