She was predeceased by: her parents, Essie Mae Lawson Daugherty and Fred Daugherty. She is survived by: her sons, Aaron Fredrick Daugherty and Curtis Dewayne Chitwood; her sister Phyllis Kirkland of Augusta, Georgia; and her close friend Sharon Owens. She is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
