He was predeceased by: his daughter Carolyn Faye Sharp Nichols; his parents, Leander Sharp and Bessie Hatfield Sharp; and his siblings, Dana of Virgil, L. D., James Howard, Tommy, Ed Sharp and Myrtle Ruth Sharp.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Rucker Sharp; his daughter Delores Ann Sharp Luti; his sisters, Betty Goins and Brenda Vinsant; and his grandchildren, James Ellis, Bryant Lee Nichols, Holly Nicole, Madison Paige Nichols and Along. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
