With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph David Ausmus of Caryville, Tennessee, born in Lafollette, Tennessee, who passed away on July 25, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ausmus and Madie Goins Ausmus. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Vann Ausmus; his sons, Dwight (Becky Ausmus) and Aaron (Misty Ausmus); his grandsons, Dakota Heck, Max Ausmus and Bo Ausmus; and his great grandchildren, Berkley and Blakely Heck.

Given current pandemic and the family's concern for the health and well-being of others friends may call at their convenience from 11 AM to 4 PM Monday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Alzheimer's Association at https: //act.alz.org.

“Dear Ausmus Family, David was a friend in High School. In fact, he was a friend to every classmate in out 1958 graduating class. I know of no one who did not possess a fondness for David and for his sly, somewhat timid, and often times cunning and mischievous personality. His slight frame in high school transitioned into a well developed, distinguished gentleman. The LHS Class of 1958 expresses its heartfelt sympathy and expends its prayers of comfort and support. We will not forget him.”
