He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Petitt and Vista Goins Petitt; his grandson Aaron Jordan; and his siblings, Mary Nell Foster (Willie Hamilton), Bud Petitt, William Everett Petitt, Charles and George Petitt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane (David Nance), Mary (John Lamb), Sherry Petitt and Terry Carroll (Mark Armentrout); his grandchildren, Jason Nance, Chelsea Jordan, Bobby Davis, Patrick Lamb, Branden, Samantha Carroll, LaTosha, John Wigginton and Jack Carroll; and his great grandchildren, Baron Jordan, Easton Ayers, Lakely Davis, Sophia Carroll, Maleia Carroll, Zander Carroll and Madilynn Wigginton. He is also survived by other several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
