He was predeceased by: his wife Pansy Hooks; his parents, George Hooks and Erma Hooks; his grandson Brandon Phillips; and his sons-in-law, Victor Phillips and Randy Comer.
He is survived by: his children, George Hooks (Leah), Debbie Petree (Joe), Faye Comer, Philimina Reese (Junior), Georgia Kitts and Pansy Phillips; his grandchildren, Reece, Addy, Malinda, Valerie, Jessica, Andrew, Sandi, Michael, Jody, Vanessa, Jane, Dustin, Danielle, Ashley, Sarabeth and Kristie; and his close friend Martha Swafford.
