It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Maxine Marcum Gibson of Caryville, Tennessee, born in Pioneer, Tennessee, who passed away on June 20, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Ralph Marcum (Burgin Gibson); her parents, Dewey Rector and Sinda Rector; and her siblings, Harold, Gordon Rector, Mildred McGhee and Pauline Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Marcum (Carolyn) and Kay Marcum Branam (Johnny) of Jacksboro; her stepchildren, Gary Gibson (Karla) of Ohio and Diane Gibson Crisp (Rick) of Caryville; her sister Barbara Stepp of New Market; and her close friend Shirley Clotfelter. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to the Pat Summit Foundation for the research for a cure for Alzheimer's.
