He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Hargis Birdwell and Walter Glenn Birdwell, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Walton; his children, Sue Ishee (Jerry) of Nashville, Walter Glenn "Birdy" Birdwell, III (Christie) of Sparta and Ann Dobson (Matt) of Franklin; and his grandsons, Matthew H. Dobson, VI of New York, NY and Walter Birdwell Dobson of Franklin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 7:30 AM and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Carthage United Methodist Church (608 Main St N, Carthage, TN 37030).
