He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvie T. Lawson, Sr. and Mildred Ruth Reece Lawson; and his son Jeffrey Scott Lawson. He is survived by: his brother Ricky Lawson; his uncle William Edward Crawford, Sr.; his wife Evelyn Crawford Lawson of Carthage, TN.; his daughter Candice Slagle (Jeramy) of Gordonsville, TN.; his grandchildren, Jackson Slagle, Averee Slagle, Alexandra Slagle Scarboro and Jaiden Slagle; his daughter-in-law Shannon Lawson; his siblings, Kathy Marks (Joey), Donnie Lawson (Alva "Sissy") and Stacy Lawson (Tanna); his siblings-in-law, Emily Lonsbury (Ron), Sherrie Fritz, Robert Crawford (Gwen) and Ed Crawford (Pennie); his mother-in-law Ruby E. Crawford; and his uncle Donald L. Reece.
The family requests memorials be made to the Smith County Fine Arts Center and Theatre.
