He was predeceased by: his parents, James Milby Hart and Annie Simmons Hart; his siblings, Lena Mai Hart Fields, Alma Ray Hart Nemens, Horace Monroe "Sonny" Hart, Rev. Ralph Leon Hart, Maurice Hart, Doyle Hart and Billy Joe Hart; and also Gary James Hart.
He is survived by: his grandson David Hart; his son Dennis Hart (Glenda) of Morton's Gap, Kentucky; his stepsons, Wayne Sanders (Natalie) of Murfreesboro and Tony Sanders of Lebanon; and also, Dennis Hart and Wayne Sanders. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
