He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Carlos Bowman and Mattie Beasley Bowman; and his brothers, James Milton Bowman (Jimmy), Bobby Beasley Bowman, Jesse "Skeeter" Bowman and Jackie Carlos Bowman.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Bowman Hackett (Phillip), Ray "Hoover" Bowman and Charlie Bowman (Melanie Sadler Bowman); his grandchildren, Canaan Bowman (Paige), Cayde Bowman (Mariah) and Keely Hackett of Cookeville; and his great grandchildren, Simon, Charlee Sue, Samson, Salem and Jirah Bowman.
