He was predeceased by: his parents, Ammon Whitehair and Ruby Whitehair of Carthage, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Whitehair; his daughters, Cynthia Adams (Joel), Russell Whitehair and Ryan Whitehair (Shannon); his grandchildren, Amber Hills, Mckenzie, Ryleigh Whitehair, Raelynne Whitehair and Owen Adams; and his sisters, Ramona Griffith (Jimmy), Barbara Dillehay and Janice Presley (Ray). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Defense League in honor of Raymond "Ray" Whitehair.
