She is survived by: her children, Valerie "Val" Key Cowan of LaVergne and Nathaniel Baxter "Baxie" Key III of Carthage; her granddaughter Catherine Pernell (Brandon) of Atlanta, Georgia; and her pet Toby Pernell.
