She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Savage Silcox and Ruth Evelyn Webb Silcox; and her sister Cristol Dean Silcox Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy; her son Jamie Hamlet (Patricia "Pebbles" Hamlet) of Gordonsville; her grandchildren, Dylan Hamlet (Jessica) of South Carthage, Drew Hamlet of Carthage and Darby Hamlet of Gordonsville; and her sisters, Jeanette Silcox Clariday of Donelson, Rose Silcox Carter (Garry) and Jill Silcox Beechboard (Bill).

The Hamlet family has requested memorials to the North Carthage Baptist Church.
